Terms
Terms of service
Last updated 13 October 2026
About these terms
These terms are the agreement between you and Bijou Page (“Bijou Page”, “we”, “us”) for your website. Please read them before you pay. By paying for a site you accept them. Questions? Email hello@bijoupage.com.
Our service is for adults (18 or over) who work independently and want a website for their own business. By using it you confirm you are 18 or over and acting for your own business.
What you get for £65 a year
- A one-page website built on one of our templates, with your photos, text and contact details.
- Your own domain, bought and managed by us (see “Your domain” below), with a registration cost of up to £15 a year included. If the name you want costs more, we tell you the difference before you pay.
- Hosting, a secure HTTPS connection and basic search-engine settings.
- Reasonable updates to your photos and text during the year, and switching template or colours on request.
Not included: writing your content, photography, custom design work, advertising, booking or payment systems for your clients, or any guarantee of search rankings or enquiries.
How it works
- You send us your photos and details. We build your site and show you a private preview.
- When you're happy with the preview and have paid, we publish your site on your domain.
Payment
- The price is £65 for 12 months, paid in advance by bank transfer or a payment link we send you. We confirm the price before you pay.
- Your year starts on the day we receive your payment. We tell you the date it runs until.
- Nothing renews or charges you automatically.
Renewal
- We remind you before your year ends. To continue, pay for the next year before the end date.
- If you haven't renewed, your site stays up for 14 days, then we take it offline.
- We then keep your domain and content for 60 more days so you can renew or ask for your domain to be transferred to you. After that we may let the domain expire and delete your content.
Cancelling and refunds
- If you change your mind before we publish your site, we refund you in full, minus the cost of any domain we have already bought for you (which you can then have transferred to you).
- Once your site is published, payments are not refundable. You can cancel at any time; your site stays up until the end of the year you paid for, unless you ask us to remove it sooner.
- This doesn't affect any rights you have by law.
Your domain
- We register your domain in our account and manage it for you, so there is nothing technical for you to do and your name and address are not shown in public domain records.
- While you are a customer, the domain is used only for your website.
- If you leave, or at any time while your account is paid up, we transfer the domain to you or to a registrar you choose, free of charge (your new registrar may charge its own fee). Ask by email.
- We never sell your domain or use it for anyone else while you can still claim it under these terms.
Your content and what's allowed
You are responsible for everything on your site. You confirm that:
- you are 18 or over, the website is about you, and you are the person shown in the photos;
- you own the photos and text or have permission to use them;
- you work independently, by your own choice, and no one else controls or profits from your work;
- your content is lawful in the UK and accurate.
Sites must be non-explicit and portfolio-style. We do not allow:
- sexually explicit images or descriptions;
- anyone under 18, or content that suggests it;
- photos or details of anyone who hasn't agreed, or pretending to be someone else;
- anything involving coercion, exploitation or third-party control;
- anything illegal, or that promotes illegal activity.
You keep ownership of your content. You give us permission to store, resize and display it only to run your website. Our templates and designs remain ours; you can use them while you are a customer.
When we can remove content or a site
We can refuse, edit or remove content, or take a site offline, if we reasonably believe it breaks these terms or the law, if we receive a credible report (for example of impersonation or non-consensual images), or if a court, the police or a regulator requires it. Where we can, we tell you why and give you a chance to fix it first. We act immediately on anything involving possible harm, exploitation or anyone under 18, and may report it to the authorities. If we end your service because you broke these terms, we don't give a refund.
Anyone can report content on any Bijou Page website through our report page.
Our responsibilities
- We take reasonable care to keep your site online and secure, but we can't promise it will never be unavailable, for example during maintenance or a provider outage.
- We are a website provider only. We are not part of your business and are not responsible for your bookings, clients, services or income.
- If we are responsible for a loss, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it happened. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Your information
How we handle your personal information is explained in our privacy notice.
Changes and the law
We may update these terms. If a change affects you significantly we tell you at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel if you don't accept it. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute; if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also use your local courts.
